2nd Grade is Already Here

Hannah Kate was beyond excited for the first day of school. She didn't act too interested in 2nd grade until the week before when all the back-to-school activities took place. She received her teacher letter the weekend before and she was thrilled to have been placed with Mrs. Graham (who was really the only 2nd grade teacher she knew). Marion has a parade the morning of Meet the Teacher Night which gets the kiddos in the spirit...

I really like this picture. You can see Mrs. G spotted Hannah even on the back of a moving pick up truck.

Daddy went for a jog with Ryan then met us at the park for the parade. Luke insisted on wearing his sister's old Easter gloves (he thinks they are like Mickey Mouse gloves).

Hannah, Kaitlyn and Lizzie ready for 2nd grade.

Sweet Mrs. Graham at Meet the Teacher.

New lunchbox, backpack, shoes and clothes. Ready to learn!

Smart teacher - she put all the kids' supplies together and placed in each desk so they didn't have to do so the first day of school. Hannah was funny the first day - she had to check out EVERYTHING in her new surroundings. This girl doesn't miss a beat.

My sweetie stopped and gave me a big smile in the middle of her new classroom. I doubt next year she'll even let us come in the room.

Loving on her brothers before her first day. Makes me a little sad - she had to leave them after such a great summer of all being together.
