Fair Day

When we joined the Museum of Nature & Science we received free tickets to the State Fair of Texas...so that was our justification for going...and since it was also my birthday, I thought we'd give it a whirl. I was hoping for a day to enjoy my sweet family and the cool temperatures. All three kids did great and the big kids were into everything, especially the games. They wanted to experience everything, and all at once. But they did a good job of staying close and they were troopers on the LONG haul back on the train (standing room only...AWFUL).

Here is our day in photos....

DART ride there

The wheels were turning here. He was completely taken in and was "izcited". He still talks about the red line and green line.

Petting Zoo

Luke was tickled by this gross cow's tail swatting the files. Boys!

The kids were allowed to go on 3 rides each. And for the sake of time and money we decided against games. I do regret not taking the big kids on the ferris wheel - probably the best bang for your buck from what I've heard.

Tall enough?

Classic cheesy grin

Just a swingin'

And of course, last but not least...the food. We shared a corny dog, fried autumn pumpkin pie, fried snickers and the kids had pizza, cotton candy and an ice cream cup. Delicious, not nutritious.

It was good!
