The weekend before Christmas we headed to Waco to spend some time with my parents and my sister and her family. My parents still live in the house I grew up in and I have some special holiday memories there. My mom always decorates the house so festively and many of the decorations she's had since I was a little girl. Fun to see the kids enjoy them too. We decorated cookies, ate delicious home-cooked food, and played A LOT! The weather was sunny and cool so we spent a lot of time outside playing with the dogs in the backyard and spent a long morning at Whitehall Park. Thank goodness we could let the 18-month old boys roam free for a bit.
My sister (yes, we look just a like) and the boys getting messy with icing and sprinkles.
Yum!
Hannah and Luke love to decorate cookies each year.
Happy times
He couldn't help himself. :)
My Dad "Gramps" gets a big hug from his only granddaughter
We took our gingerbread house kit with us for more creative fun. Luke helped a lot this year.
The finished product! One side was Hannah's and one side was Luke's.
Luke was so ready to open gifts. Hannah made name cards for each stack. There were so many gifts it took so long to open everything - the little kids were able to hang in there, but barely!
Ryan had the most fun playing with spoons and spatulas all weekend. Silly boy!
