Luke is 1

Well, techincially not until the 19th but we celebrated early on Dec. 13th. We had a party at our house with family and neighbors. Aunt Kacey and cousin Isaiah from Denver joined us. We were so happy to spend time with our new nephew. He is precious! We decided on an adventure safari theme since this past year has been one wild adventure (mostly because we went from 1 kid to 2 kids - quite an adjustment for me). My favorite part of the party was having almost all of our loved ones there (although we missed my Dad and Uncle Ben). We served BBQ and some guests brought homemade side dishes. The "zebra cake" as Hannah called it, turned out better than I could have imagined, although I can't take credit for making it - that was my friend Trisha's creation. At the end of the evening Luke took 3 steps while playing with his new toys. What a perfect ending to a perfect day. Happy Birthday Baby Luke!
