Somewhat Interesting?

This week I am trying to appreciate the little things and put more fun into our ordinary, uninteresting household.

A few weeks ago, Michael and the kids dropped me off at the store to pick up a bottle of wine to take to a party we were attending. I also decided since we were running low on our own supply and the prices were Wal-Mart cheap, I'd stock up. A few whites, a few reds...but had to hurry since the fam was waiting for me in the car. A wine connoisseur I am not, but there's no excuse for this Riesling I bought. After drinking a glass the other night and thinking, hmm...this tastes a little funny (and it was unusually strong), we found humor in two things about the bottle that should have been indicators NOT to purchase it.

#1: the screw on top...

#2: the disturbed elf with the sign...

Next time we'll opt for the $10-$15 bottle or at least avoid elves.

Hannah had a push up for dessert a few nights ago. Now that Luke is older he's starting to realize when sister gets something he has to have some too. I hestitated at first to give him his own, but then realized he could feed himself and the mess would be manageable...

Hannah is sooo into accessories, my little Fancy Nancy. She likes to style her hair using pony tails, clips, headbands (she would wear them all at once if I'd let her). Sweet girl thinks this looks pretty...

Here she is doing her Daddy's hair...

I have finally gotten around to growing a few herbs (rosemary and basil). I don't cook enough to use all of it, but at least they look pretty on the patio...

Not super exciting stuff, but will keep trying to make it more interesting around here.
