July 4th

Last weekend was full of family fun! Friday night, we headed to a July 4th party at our neighbor's house, then straight to a huge birthday bash for Kathryn (Hannah's old daycare buddy). The July 4th party had some fun decorations and great food and the birthday party was complete with water slides and a snow cone machine (too bad it was raining). Saturday we went to the White's for a pool party/BBQ. The kids had a blast swimming and playing on the slip and slide. We headed from there and met up with the Brown's/Leeson's to watch the fireworks at Lifetime Fitness. Phew! That is more partying that I have done since college. Little Luke must have caught a bug sometime over the weekend b/c he started running a fever during the firework show. He just sat on our laps and watched, saying things like "oh, there it is!" and "pretty!" I just love that sweet boy!
What a blessing it is to live in America and to enjoy so many freedoms- to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Many thanks to all of the men and women who have served (past, present and future) to make this happen. God bless!

Can you say cute?

Even cuter!
Yes, we use bribery - the promise of sweets always works!

Go USA!
