Feelin' the Love

May 14, 2011 - 35 weeks (last preggers pic)

Baby boy will be here soon! I'm scheduled to be induced on 6/13 if he's not here before then. REALLY hoping he comes on his own - LOVE all the excitement that comes with getting to the hospital and having labor progress naturally. But we will just have to wait...we've got the nursery finished, the baby clothes laundered and the car seat installed. We are ready!

The kids are ready too. Look how much they love him already....

I have been so touched by the support of our friends and co-workers helping us welcome this new little guy into our family. It meant so much to Michael and I to celebrate this special time with our friends...we were feelin' the love....

Michael's office gave us a generous gift card and my co-workers showered me with cards and gift cards at a Program Council meeting during my last week of work. Reverend Henderson prayed over me asking for blessings for our family and that our baby be raised to become a Godly man. His prayer brought me to tears (doesn't happen often) and his words helped all of the events come full circle - he put it all in perspective.

My dear friend, Julie, hosted a dinner at Macaroni Grill with my closest girlfriends and family. My moms were both there along with my sister who was 29 weeks pregnant. It was a very casual, laid-back get together - just what I wanted to help welcome baby.

Finally, the sweet ladies in my MOPs care group gave me with a gift card shower and cupcakes at our last meeting. I was sooo surprised and very touched by their thoughtfulness.
