Visit from Wilkins of the West

Michael's brother and his family came from Denver to Texas this summer for a visit. They flew into Dallas and spent the first few days of their time here. This was their first chance to meet Baby Ryan and he loved all the attention Aunt Kacey and Uncle Ben gave him. Luke was beyond excited to play with his younger cousin Isaiah (they are about 8 months apart) and Hannah is always ready to be with her family and play hostess.

We talked a lot about doing something exciting while they were here - the Dallas Children's Museum or the World Aquarium but we couldn't quite get it together and it just seemed like too much work. We mostly stayed at home and just enjoyed each other's company. We did hit some favorite places in town - Rudy's BBQ, the neighborhood pool and Yogurtville. Luke enjoyed his trips to the hotel where they stayed and loved riding on the elevator. He's still talking about the "orange hotel" and tells us every time we drive by that when he's 4 he can live there. LOL! Uncle Ben did a great job of carrying on the fun and spent A LOT of time playing elevator and train with the boys. Love to see them use their imaginations. Isaiah was so fun - he was very sweet and kind with his cousins (who can be a bit rowdy) and when he had "too much" he would go off and find a quiet place to play by himself (usually trains). The last day they were here he ran a low fever and when he wasn't better the next morning they took him in. The dr. said an ear infection was coming on. So glad it wasn't something more serious since they had lots of plans down in Houston that week!

Here are some fun pictures of the concert Hannah and Grandma put on for us all. She made all kinds of instruments out of trash in the recycling bin and apparently gave very specific instructions to Grandma (and as you can see she is doing exactly as she was told).
