Our little Wilkins Turkey Bowl
We celebrated Thanksgiving at home this year and enjoyed sharing a meal with the Hlavaty family. Michael roasted a turkey and we made our traditional sides of dressing, sweet potato casserole, cranberry relish, and rolls. Amy, Phil and Lucas brought mashed potatoes, green beans and pumpkin pie. It worked out well and we had plenty of yummy leftovers. Hannah somehow talked both of her grandmothers into baking her favorite pies so we also had a chocolate silk pie and apple pie. :) Michael's parents came to visit us that weekend and the festivities continued - well, the eating continued anyway. Kind of fun to have 2 feasts, and a birthday celebration for Bill. It was a little more work than I anticipated (but everything seems to be these days). Fun times though!
Thankful this year most of all for a loving God, a complete family that includes a kind and loving partner, squishy lovable Ryan, curious Luke, Hannah and her caring heart, Michael's' new job, my extended family and how supportive they are, having all of our needs met, our health and a hopeful future.
