Ryan's Baptism Day

Ryan was baptized on November 6th surrounding by the love of family and friends. Such a special day to come together to recognize God's gift of grace and love for this sweet child and for Michael and I to commit to raising him in a Christian home. My special memories of the day were having all of our parents there, our Sunday School friends standing with us, and our dear friends, the Browns there with us too. The ministers who performed the sacrament - Rev. John Richardson and Dr. Ronald Henderson - both hold a special place our hearts. John helped welcome us to CRUMC when we joined in 2001. I worked under Rev. Henderson on the church staff for 2 years before Ryan was born. I also will never forget purchasing 7, yes 7, dresses before I found the perfect one. My body shape is "just off" at this stage of my life. :)

Snuggles in pajamas before heading to church.

Ryan is wearing the gown that Hannah, Luke and Isaiah wore at their baptisms. A new family tradition. Michael cringed when we put it on him - he calls it a dress.

Alter flowers purchased by our parents in honor of Ryan.

Complete Joy. One of my all time favorite photos.

Ryan so happy to be with his Dad and Grand-Dads

Bill, Ry and Charline

Nana and Gramps

Julianna and Levi came too - poor Neal was home with the stomach bug. Gramps and Hannah having some fun. A silly pair, those two.

We had a luncheon at La Madeline in McKinney after church. Kind of a crazy scene with 10 kids and 11 adults, but everyone seemed to have a good time and the kids were actually all well behaved. After everyone left, I took one of those "sleep like a rock" 2 hour naps. I'm pretty sure Ryan did too - we were both so tired!

Mom playing peek-a-boo with Levi

Morgan, a big sister of 2 brothers, is a natural with baby boys. We like to pass Ryan around like a football. All the kids love holding him.

With Julie and Baby Jenna. Friends forever.

Holden, age 2...looks like a big boy in his sweater vest.

I love this...all the kids are doting on Ryan who is in his stroller.

Hannah and Gramps playing a duet after the party. Melts my heart!

I hope and pray that Ryan will develop a personal relationship with Christ, have a strong faith, grow in His word over the years and most of all to have peace in his heart that only God can give and a love for all people. Happy Baptism, Ryan Andrew! May God's blessings fall upon you always!
