Thanksgiving 2012

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year in Conroe with Michael's parents.  It was so nice to get away and not have to worry about cooking or hosting this year.  My in-laws cozy home comfortably accommodates us all, and we always have a nice time there.  I was proud of myself for not taking too many pictures and trying to focus on the family time.  Ryan did throw me for a loop the first night we got there.  He was into EVERYTHING - knocking over lamps, putting his snack in drawers, opening ovens, pulling stuff out from under the sink, playing in the fountain (we had to put it away eventually) then running into Luke on the swing.  He was a hot mess.  But the next day he settled in - the exploring must have been out of his system.   Thank goodness.  I am too old for much of this.

Highlights of our holiday were:
 1) blowing the leaves into a big pile and the kids playing for hours
 2) napping on the couch
 3) Michael and Bill playing golf
 4) manis and pedis with MC and Hannah Kate
 5) the food especially the chocolate pie and apple pie (Hannah convinced Grandma to make her both)
 6) Hannah dominating at Clue and Monopoly
 8) seeing the movie "Lincoln" with Michael - excellent flick!!!
 9) being together for 4 whole days with no to-do list/work distractions

Thankful for Thanksgiving break!
