Easter Best

My creative, neighbor friend invited us to an Easter egg hunt/party a few weekends before Easter. It took place near "downtown" Allen in a local park where they are restoring old homes. What a perfect setting! Check out these adorable decorations...so festive!

Food table - cake ball flowers were my fav

The kids had a sack race and enjoyed finding eggs and eating a yummy picnic lunch.

For the Easter holiday we attended our first musical Requiem at Custer Road UMC. I have to say, going to church on Good Friday really helped put me in the right frame of mind. I felt much more focused on Jesus and his promise rather than the candy and bunnies. :) Every year our plans change, and this year we decided to go to Waco to visit my sweet parents one last time before baby boy arrives. The Easter bunny came, we hunted eggs, attended church at my hometown church, and enjoyed a delicious ham dinner. Julianna and Neal drove down for the day so it was neat to all be together. It wasn't all fun and games, however...Michael and my dad were put to work - they loaded a trailer with my parent's old frig and we hauled it back to Allen. It was so nice of them to give it to us so we can have an extra place to store drinks and food for our growing family. :)
