Spring Break

Spring is my absolute favorite time of year - love the month of April - the mild temperatures, green grass, colorful flowers, birds singing in the morning. Ahhh!!! What could be better? If only it would last longer! We kicked of the season with a low-key Spring Break. Michael had a business trip so I decided to work that week, but we did manage to fit in a trip to the Dallas Children's Museum on St. Patrick's Day. Allison and I loaded up the kids in her van and off we went...

Aren't they cute, especially little Holden in between the girls and the bigger boys with their stuffed animals?

We saw a documentary on bugs at the IMAX, had some lunch and played outside while Michael took Hannah to see the documentary on Mummies also at the IMAX. She's learning about Ancient Egypt at school and is really into it! Maybe she'll be an archaeologist someday?

It was a little challenging to keep everyone still. They were all so excited!

Allison and all her little chicks. They are the cutest!

The kids searching for turtles.

That evening we headed out to Watter's Creek for dinner and hung out on the green to hear the music. This is always a great family activity - the kids get to burn some energy while we relax and best of all it's free!

Here are my favorite boys climbing and lovin' on each other.

We also spent some time outdoors at the kids' favorite park, the "rocket park". We packed a picnic lunch and played, played, played until we were red in the face.

Hannah up high on the Rocket look-out.

Playing baseball with Dad.
