While Driving...

My kids always say the funniest things while driving in the car. Today I told Luke my head hurt and as he was very concerned (not a surprise b/c he's a feelings kind of guy) and later said in his most excited voice, "Mommy, I have an idea! Why don't you drink some coffee or take medicine to feel better? It's your choice, coffee or medicine." And I spied two fingers held up high in the rear view mirror. Pretty sad that my 3 year old knows that coffee makes Mommy happy. This evening on the way to soccer practice, Michael noticed Luke was wearing a new Toy Story t-shirt. So Michael says, "Where did you get that shirt?" Which by the way is code for...when did Mommy buy you that and do you really need more clothes? Luke says, "Well, Jesus gave it to me." He seems to be grasping the concept that God gives us all we have. :)

And since we are on the topic....let me continue to tell you what this boy has been up to. He has really taken to carrying around odd things laying around the house. He finds something he likes for whatever reason and he talks about it constantly and even tells people he comes across about his goodies. First it was an old roll of masking tape, then a stack of "baby napkins" aka play napkins that went with our kitchen toys, then it was an old toy phone, then a roll of dental floss and then three hand sanitizing wipes from Chick-Fil-A and the last few days he's been enjoying a rope from the garage (all 100 feet of it) which he has named "Justin". Not sure what is going on in that little mind of his! Kinda curious to see what is next.
