Ryan is 9 months now! This boy is starting to move and groove and he's loving every minute of it. He's still doing his half army crawl/belly slither but can crawl forward on both knees if he puts it all together. He's pulling up often and loves to stand and walk with help. He says, "Ma Ma" and "Da Da" and we've heard "s" and "b" sounds. He likes to click his tongue and try to talk in the car. He's usually quiet, but can he can get loud and giggly at times. Just try tickling him on his inner thighs - sends him into fits. Or take away a phone or something else he's really into, he will scream and throw a baby temper tantrum. He can wave "bye-bye" and often starts up when he sees the front door (b/c he waves bye bye to Daddy every morning?). So funny! He loves when his stuffed toys to talk to him, enjoys books with animals and Little Einstein and Sesame Street characters, but most of all he loves his big sister and brother. He lights up when they are around and he's getting very good at keeping up with what is going on. He likes music and tries to play with our smart phones and iPad but no TV allowed for this baby. Sleeping is great around here - he NEVER wakes up at night and this became consistent in December (6 months old)! He naps twice a day and eats like a 2 year old. He will try anything that we eat and would eat all table food if we let him. He shows no signs of weaning - nursing 4 times a day - although he is easily distracted, we have to find a quiet place or finish our feeding later. A few weeks ago he gave me a scare when he went on a nursing strike one weekend. He usually refuses the bottle (bites it and plays with it) and is still learning how to use a cup, so I was one happy mama when he started back up the third day. He has 6 teeth and 2 more top teeth are coming in. He really has no issues cutting teeth so far. His hair is growing in thick and curly - melts my heart. No haircuts for this little guy any time soon. Ryan is truly a blessing, an easy baby. His squishy, pudgy body and sparkling blue eyes, sweet nuzzles and attempts at kisses are just beautiful. He has stolen our hearts and can't wait to see who he becomes.
