Muffins with Mom

My little man, Luke, and I had a date at his preschool last month. We shared a breakfast of fruit loops, chocolate chip muffins and uneaten grapes and spent some quality time together. Such fun to meet other moms and hear about his friends and what is going on at his school. Love my big 4 year old, who still seems so very little - I just want to hold and protect him as long as I can. Best part of the morning was when we were walking in, he reached out and grabbed my hand and started his whimpering which means he wants something but "isn't using his words". I stopped and kneeled down to those puppy dog eyes. Just wanted to make sure he was okay (he gets a little nervous in new situations with lots of people). He gave me a big hug and told me he loved me a lot. Doesn't get much better than that!
