2nd Grade Winter Party

As 1/3 room mom, I had the task of organizing Mrs. Graham's 2nd grade winter party. With everything else going on those weeks leading up to Christmas, needless to say it was a busy time, but it all came together beautifully if I do say so myself. LOL! The kids had a great time and they were really engaged so I'll take it. Might be the last year my sweet girl wants me around, but I sure hope not!

We had lots and lots to eat. Thanks to the awesome parents who pitched in and provided fruit, muffins, creme puffs, cookies, cheese and crackers and juice.

We painted cute Hobby Lobby wooden snowman/frame ornaments using acrylic paints and glitter glue of course!

We made these cute and tasty Christmas tree cones. So easy and the kids LOVED it! We had to make them stop and move on.

We surprised the teacher with a group gift card tree.

And a book exchange took place later in the day since we ran out of time, thus no picture. :)

Silly, 2nd graders! Gotta love this age where they still adore you as parents, love life, are sweet and innocent yet are learning so much about the real world. Lots of questions and "using her filter" this year.
