Santa Time

The tradition continued this year - sittin' on Santa's lap at Collin Creek Mall with our long-time friends the Johnson, Rodriguez and Lax families. The kids are just so big now...we started this when Hannah was just 6 months old! Unfortunately, we had a different Santa from past 5 or 6 years, but this did not prompt too many questions from the kids. Ryan was clueless, Luke whispered to Mr. C that he wanted candy canes and Hannah made a grand production of it as usual. For the second year, she took her letter directly to the big man and read it to him. And she came bearing her own gift - a bag full of candy canes. Maybe she thought that would sweeten him up and he would bring her everything she wanted. Except that I suggested she remove the part about wanting a $100 bill. Kinda of annoyed with myself that I forgot to retrieve the letter for her keepsakes, but that is how it goes sometimes. :) It was a fun evening - Christmas is all about togetherness with friends and family and this was a great way to start the season.
