Night in Bethlehem

Our church hosts a wonderful event each year for the kiddos called "A Night in Bethlehem". They set up tents with crafts/activities as if the kids are actually in Bethlehem at time when Jesus was born. They made clay pots, painted ornaments, baked bread, made wooden bookmarks, dreidels, pet animals, and heard the story of Jesus' birth read by one of the ministers. Morgan, Hannah and I had fun going a little early to help set up. The boys met us there and we ended up staying way longer than planned. Good thing Ryan can hang in there. :) This has become a favorite family tradition and I like that it puts the emphasis back on the true meaning of Christmas and it's also great that the kids get to try different hands-on activities. Thank you to our children's directors and volunteers for making this happen!!
