Gone Country

To end the summer, we spent a weekend in the country (just up the road in Denton county) with our Family Night gang.  All 18 of us shared a 6 bedroom cabin and it really worked out to be a relaxing weekend.

The kids all played together well and there was a lot of swimming, ping pong, badminton and exploring happening.  Ryan had a tough time in his new surroundings and was clingy.   He was accidentally woken up by the spunky 3 year old of the group and couldn't be soothed.  He literally screamed himself to sleep after 1 1/2 hours.  But other than that (ha ha), it was a great get-away.  Best part of the weekend was that the parents got some time to hang out too.  Never a dull moment with this group - lots of laughs and wonderful memories made.  Hoping we can go back next summer.

Love that we wore no makeup and hung out in our comfy clothes all weekend.    Just like family...

I sat on the porch and took in the view as much as possible...

Fun porch swing could fit all of us...
