Heroes for Children Race 2012

At the last minute, we decided to participate in the Heroes for Children 5K and Fun Run.  We hadn't been in several years so it was nice to show our support and enjoy some time with family and friends.

Hannah and Michael ran the 1 mile and Hannah says she finished as the first female.  Not sure since she didn't wear her bib, but she did run fast!  :)  I ended up chasing Luke for half of the race since he thought he had to run the whole way and took off without us as soon as the race started.  Poor thing just kept following the crowd not sure what was going on!  Regardless, it was a fun morning and a good chance to reflect on how blessed we are to have healthy children.

The day started with the balloon release.  Each yellow balloon represents a child in TX that HFC has helped this year....

Watching the festivities...

These kids are ready to run!

I love this guy!

Cutie Pies...

Julie pushed Ryan so I could chase after Luke.

Hannah running the end of the 5K with her Dad.  She could have track and field in her future.  :)
