It's a phase
Today after a long day of VBS, the tired kids and I met up with our ECI social worker at Target. She evaluated Luke's behavior with doors and potties and good news...he's "a normal 2 year old". I find it interesting that childhood phases can be misinterpreted as something more, but glad we had it confirmed - better safe than sorry, right?

Glad to hear it! Can't believe you did that after VBS...you go!
Alli: he was so mellow (tired) but maybe it calmed him down for the eval? I'm just glad it doesn't officially "inhibit his functioning" so we don't need behavior modification.
